The dictator, Mussolini imagines himself the political descendant of Caesar bringing Italy back to it’s imperialist days of the Romans. He sets his eyes on Ethiopia, a place in the sun. He will bring Italy back to its deserved, ancient glory. He will protect its people from the rise of socialism in the east. He will protect the rich and liberate the poor. He will be the father, brother, husband and best friend to those who follow; the enemy and final judge for those who do not. The mission becomes sacred in a new, ever morphing doctrine. Everyone and everything in the State. He will make his nation great again!
